Two days full of exciting impulses, groundbreaking discussions and visionary ideas: At Europe 2025, Christian Leffin and Sylvia Huttanus were right in the middle of the action for bluplanet – exchanging ideas with leading figures from politics, business and technology.

A special highlight was the exclusive evening at the French Embassy. There, ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer gave an impressive account of his mission with SpaceX Crew-3 – a fascinating insight into space travel, which was further deepened in the subsequent personal discussion.

Another highlight followed on Thursday: the keynote speech by Richard Socher, CEO of You.com. As an exclusive reseller of his AI search engine, it was particularly inspiring for bluplanet to experience his vision for the future of artificial intelligence live – and to see how technology and innovation can help shape Europe’s digital sovereignty.

Numerous other talks, including with Annalena Baerbock, Boris Pistorius and Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, dealt with the leitmotif:
“Rethinking European Sovereignty ” – from defense and trade to science and AI.

Our conclusion: Europe 2025 has once again demonstrated the importance of open dialog across borders – and the role that technology plays in actively shaping Europe’s future.
